Logistic Information Services
Introduction
The ethos of LInC is that all projects have to be driven by clear business objectives,
whether they be the maximization of return on investment, maximization of asset availability,
minimization of whole life cost, or, as is usually the case, optimization of these variables with respect
to defined criteria. Therefore the elicitation, analysis and specification of requirements, constitute a
fundamental element of our approach to all projects.
The guiding principle that we use for many projects is that the understanding and management of the
information that is generated and used by the organizations, people, processes and systems which design,
develop, use, support and dispose of assets, provides a critical business advantage to those organizations
that get it right. Getting it wrong can be expensive – in terms of financial costs, timescales and quality
- and ultimately in terms of the business objectives. Whilst organizations, people, processes and systems may
change with ever decreasing timescales, the fundamental nature, structure and content of the associated information,
is in fact very stable and long lasting.
In consultation with the client, we use the most appropriate methods and tools for each task,
as highlighted within each service description.
As well as this specialist knowledge, the LInC partners are well versed in the more general skills of
project management and quality assurance.
We offer an approach which is disciplined, logical and methodical, but at the same time we are open
minded and have an adaptable, pragmatic and lateral thinking approach to problem solving.
We are good team leaders and players who focuses on customer requirements, values and expectations.
Each service offered by LInC is bespoke according to the individual clients requirements.
There are no minimum or maximum engagement lengths, and flexibility is a key attribute that we bring to the table.
