Through Life Information Management (TLIM) is concerned with the integration of the information management process with the wider through life plans for a project / platform / plant / system / equipment or service.

This involes specification of ALL information management functions for ALL information types for ALL phases of the life cycle. In conjunction with an Enterprise Architecture approach, it is concerned with the "Bigger picture", and the relationships to business objectives.

In essence, it is the linking together of all those element in the value chain that ultimately contribute to the value of your organizations information assets.
